Players numbered shirts are given to each Team Manager to distribute to players for each game, these are the property of the Club. Each Player must provide their own shin pads and football boots (some second hand boots are available in the clubroom for a gold coin donation) Extra socks are available for purchase from the Clubhouse.
SPONSORS:
The Club is affiliated with Bankstown Sports Club and Birrong Sports Club, who have helped support us over many years. We now have sponsorship packages available thanks to our sponsorship Manager John Phelan. John will be happy to talk to anyone considering Sponsorship; we have many packages to suit every need. Initial enquiries can be made at the clubhouse.
All members of the Football Club are invited to become members of the Bankstown Sports Club as a sports member. Application forms for membership are available at either Bankstown Sports Club or Birrong Sports Club. Please consider joining our local club.
TEAMS AND TRAINING:
Coaches and Managers will be required for various teams. If you are interested in coaching you will require a Junior Coaching Certificate. The Club will assist you and organise courses to have coaches certified. It is a requirement that all coaches must hold a license. We will also need unofficial referees for some games and we will be arranging for these courses as well.
The training times will be organised by your coach and may involve two sessions per week on the field at Birrong Park (Jim Ring Reserve). Training is between Tuesday and Thursday and you will be contacted by the coach and advised of the training times. Any information regarding whether games are or training is on should be made through the team Manager of your side first. The club will notify each team Manager if the park is closed, they then will notify their team.
COMPETITION:
The competition commences usually the first week end in April. The Club is in the process of organising trial games for each team on three Sundays in March. All competition matches are played in the Bankstown area, primarily on a home and away basis and for most age divisions on Saturday commencing at about 8.00am for juniors with seniors in the afternoon commencing about 1pm. A draw will be given to you when received from the Association. Ladies and Girls U12-U18 Competitions are played on Sundays.
FEES:
Weekly match fees are included in your registration cost. This fee is to help pay referees, ground fees, lighting costs, equipment and as well as other items for your team.

CANTEEN:
The Canteen is our major form of income and is managed by a small volunteer committee. During the season each team will be called upon to perform “Canteen Duty”. This involves helping to run the BBQ and sell drinks etc in the canteen and also to help with any field setup preparation or dismantle. Canteen duty is scheduled into a morning shift commencing at 7am and an afternoon shift commencing at 12 midday, of about two hours each team. Junior teams are rostered on for mornings, seniors for afternoons to coincide with home games. Starting at 7am helpers are required to dress the fields i.e. set up nets, flags, benches etc on each field being used. The afternoon team is required to pack all items up and is return them to the storeroom and help out with the canteen and BBQ as well. The BBQ is usually manned from 8.00am until 2.30pm. The team who help out in the morning setup will have breakfast supplied by the club as well.
NON-COMPETITIVE FOOTBALL:
All players competing in the under 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11’s playing non-competitive football. This means there is no points table, no grand finals and no divisions. This is where the youngest of our players learn the skills of the game and parents are reminded that positive reinforcement of the game to the players is essential. All children play on a mini and modified fields up to and including Under 11’s

CHILD PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS:
